Roscioli is one of the places you know you will love from the second you walk in. We had a table in the bottom floor and were surrounded by endless bottles of wine. The menu is fresh and different. While they do the ‘classic Rome’ dishes – they offer a variety of antipasti which is so different then other places in Rome. We had a white fish ceviche with peaches , a tune and artichoke salad and a caccio e peppe pasta. Everything was perfect.
Only wish we had room to order some more dishes.
we had dunner in the cellar among the wine bottles. Good waiter, but hen anker for suggestions he proposed the most expensive ones.( be aware of the expensive white truffle) Nevertheless we had a fantastic meal. I started with a milky borrata cheese with semidried cherry tomatoes. My wife had an amazing preparation of artichoke. Then I had rigatoni with crispy pork cheeks in a matriciana sauce. My wife had a simpele pasta carbonara . I enjoyed a white sauvignon from the Alto-adige region. Then i had a Sicilian red wine at a descent price. Definitely a place to go back. The only minus point, is the stress of the two shifts.
We thoroughly enjoyed every dish we had. The server was very kind and gave us excellent advice. We were seated n the room downstairs and it was quite romantic. Be sure to print the copy of your online reservation and bring it with you to avoid issues with the language barrier.
